My daughter occasionally acts as a budget wedding planner for friends. She’s managed 100+ guests for about $5000

I was thinking they might have swapped the sexes in an old case pulled from the early 1900’s or something (before there was social security), where the compelling societal interest would be for the parents to be cared for in their old age. College was considered much more of a luxury at that time, and marrying well was taken much more seriously.

My guess is they are a Muslim family. South Asian.
