In goes to salaries to everyone who worked on these projects. Including the entire supply chain to the miners who dug up the materials used.

Imagine that one astronaut makes a decision that kills an astronaut of a different race. Whether the decision was the only one possible, or it was necessary given the situation. Regardless of the reason the issue will be one of race and the result will be the self-destruction of the astronaut core.
