My favorite female singer Judy Garland, I don't care if you call me a fag.

Streisand is just a notch above of Jpy Behar of being the biggest harpie.

Flame at will.

Barbra Streisand‘s politics and opinions are reprehensible. But by golly, she has a stage presence. I have never seen a bad performance by her.

Garland and Streisand; two remarkably good voices in popular music. I read a bio of Judy, one of a great many.
She got her singing voice from her Dad, who had an excellent voice in the Church Choirs. Her Mom was a hard driving
Stage Mother, who seemed to live vicariously through her daughter. Shirley Temple, in her bio, noticed that Judy had to run and hide from her Mom when she wanted time alone with friends.

You got that right after Cher payed for Chastiy's hormone treatments, sorry new age age LA doctors, an attached penis does not mean a working penis.

I feel bad for them. They are going to pay a price for the path they followed in exchange for fame and money.

Thanks for posting this. Setting aside Streisand’s vulgar politics, this clip reminds us of what genuine talent and professionalism in the performance arts can be like. The banter between the two at the beginning is classic, from a time we won’t ever see again. I remember as a very young kid in the ‘60’s going to parties with my parents. It was standard for a home to have a good hi-fi system, and for it to be playing this kind of music. Maybe be a bit more up tempo, but vocalists/groups, singing songs everyone knew, and might actually join in on. It was a better time, and people seemed to realize that we had reached a sophisticated peak. We were by no means ‘wealthy’, but it seemed everyone was gracious and sincere in their desire to host well, even with meager offerings. High class, lower/moderate means = the kind of people I still tend to gravitate towards today. (Apologies for the nostalgic ramble!)

That song is the Democrat Party Theme Song since the days of Franklin Roosevelt.
Ugh. Why would anyone want to listen to that?

Thanks for video. Garland was the greatest, I agree.

I was fortunate enough to be young in Chicago when it was a beautiful safe city. Had a boy friend who took me to all the jazz places in town. Saw a young, unknown singer at the London House on Michigan Blvd. My date commented that he’d never seen me so mesmerized by a singer. I said, “She’s going to be the best ever.:”

It was Streisand.

Ugh. THAT was painful. . . But then again, I can't stand overwrought, overblown "Broadway-style" vocals.

Do you also like Cher?

Streisand makes repulsive seem desirable by contrast. The English language doesn’t have any words adequate to describe how totally loathsome she is.

Garland dead and gone 50 years or more. Can’t remember much about her except she was supposedly a drunk.

Outstanding performance—Streisand at the start of her career and Garland nearing the end of hers.

"Happy Days Are Here Again" is from the movie Chasing Rainbows. In the movie, it is used in a production number that celebrates Armistice Day, but unfortunately, that scene is now lost, although most of the movie is intact. It was recorded by several artists beginning in late 1929 and in January, 1930, it was the top-selling song in the USA.

The Democrats later adopted it as a theme song, but it was also one of Richard Nixon's favorites. When he made the rounds of victory parties after winning a Senate seat from California in 1950, he would sit down and play it every time he found a piano.

Liking Judy Garland doesn’t make you a fag. However, if you said you liked Madonna, Cher, or Bette Midler... :)

Garland was one of the greats. Streisand has a great voice, but I don’t care for some of her songs.
