EVs are heavy. That extra weight they carry could be putting some portions of infrastructure at risk. The Telegraph reports officials in the UK are worried that older multi-level parking garages could be at risk of collapse due to all that weight.

Do you suppose heavyweight EVs had anything to do with last week’s Manhattan parking garage collapse? There was also a nasty apartment fire (another one) caused by an e-bike or e-scooter battery.
Toyota is making a very good case for hydrogen fueled combustion vehicles.
They were valet parking to many cars in the structure. Most of the cars on the top floor were SUVs. The second floor collapsed first. The top floor collapsed a few minutes later.
