Leeches and maggots both have their places in medicine.
What I find interesting is that before today, doctors who considered or did this were looked at as crazy, but as of today, they are considered crazy if they don’t do it.
It just takes one second of time to flip what’s crazy, for years, to the exact opposite.

I’ve heard that leeches are sometimes being used now. Something to do with clotting of the blood (IIRC).
