MacArthur defied the authorities in perhaps the most liberal state in the country. His church was fined but he fought the fine and closure in the courts and won. Jesse Duplantis had similar problems, but overcame them more easily, as he was dealing with a less left wing state.

Had even a substantial minority of American pastors just defied the state and local tyrants, it would have forced a backdown on the COVID restrictions on churches. It would have spread to other sectors of the economy forcibly shut down.

Items 1-3 would require the GOP to dump their largest donors. It’s probably the right focus, but the GOP can’t do it. A new party would be required.
