Sorry but whatever Anheuser-Busch does, Bud Light and the people who drink it will always be associated with perversion. Rational, decent people do not wish to be associated with such people or such beer. The brand is not salvageable.

True statement. It's not like their beer is something that people can't just adjust their sense of taste to outgrow, either.

IMO their damage control strategy has been wrong-headed and has only made things worse.

They ought to just issue a big mea culpa and fire some (several) people, and then shut up about it and let the chips fall where they will.

How are people gonna move on from it if they, their own selves can't shut up about it, and even saying the wrong thing at that?

I’m a recovering alcoholic so I no longer drink any alcohol, but this would not deter me from drinking my beer of choice.
In the 90s Coors created Zima and the marketing was directed towards the gay community. I tried Zima, didn’t like it, so I didn’t buy anymore.

I read this morning that AB and distributers were literally giving away Bud Light by the case.
If I was still drinking beer (and BL isn’t bad for a “get drunk” beer if it’s ice cold), I would be filling my spare room, fridge, closets, you name it. While everyone else is busy being pissed off about a beer can, I would be drinking for free.
Yes, AB had a blunder with the trans campaign.

Get over it.

That is hilarious. I’ve been to Fenway many times and NEVER seen no beer line for ANY beer.
