The thing that shocked me the other day was receiving my insurance packet fromm new agent which included a letter from the HEAD OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY.
Standard boilerplate thank you for your business... signed John Doe President.
Also included a letter from the new agent. SIGNED BY JANE DOE SECRETARY FOR KAREN KAREN AGENT.
Can’t get more pretentious and insulting than that!

But there are no circles involved, you’re just avoiding the issue. Simply say, “I’ll get back to you later” and follow up, as promised.

43. Trim the fat
Under no circumstances is this visual needed in the workplace; unless, of course, you’re working in a kitchen, and you’re actually required to trim the fat off of something. You’re looking to eliminate unnecessary processes and procedures; just say that!
Isn’t “Trim the fat” a whole lot shorter?

I’m retired, too, so I don’t have to deal with this anymore.
I wouldn’t have really minded getting a Maya Angelou poem; they’re about as good as most Hallmark stuff. But one of the reasons I retired sooner than I expected to was that I was tired of hearing ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusion’ mouthed every time I turned around by people who didn’t even understand or value the real meanings of the words.
