Insurance policy! I grew up on a horse working cattle, showed cutting horses for years. Every big dollar horse has an insurance policy, when the market for them got bad, there was an epidemic of accidental deaths in direct proportion to the amount of the insurance policy. Funny how that works.

In the cutting horse world, horse prices go right along with the Texas economy.

Interesting. Doesn’t the Texas economy largely depend on oil prices? So cutting horse prices are indirectly tied to the price of oil?
