Russia already lost this war in terms of what it set out to do

1. Prevent Ukraine joining NATO - not only has that spectacularly failed, but Finland joined NATO - doubling the length of the border

2. Make Ukraine a vassal state - that failed in March with the Russian loss at the battle of Hostomel and of Kyiv

Then the Muscowites had secondary plans:
2.1. Make Ukraine land-locked - that failed in June with the defeat at Mykolaiv

2.2. Take everything east of the Dnieper - that failed in September with the huge wins by Ukraine east of Kharkiv and was cemented with the Ukrainians liberating Kherson

Now Moscow is trying to grab parts of the 4 provinces - we still have to see how that plays out.

But Russia has lost, badly - the best it can hope for now is to keep Crimea and be a Chinese vassal

our weapons stocks are depleted to dangerous levels

That is incorrect and a media narrative

for some items, like the Javelins and Carl-Gustaf anti-tank weapons, no one anticipated this sort of demand for them, so stocks are going down a bit now but they are not depleted.

For the rest, the Ukrainians have been given surplus or out-of-date things like the older HIMARS or the soviet-era weapons

Some points
  1. If it would not be for the US most Ukrainians still would have a roof over their heads. -->
this is not true. The reason for Ukrainians not having a roof is that Putin does not want them to escape from his control

  2. That insanity would come to an end very quickly if the US get out of the picture. - no, it would not - there would be guerrilla war and as bloody. Moscow has said that Ukraine does not have a right to exist --> that is the root cause of the conflict

  3. stirring the pot long before the last elections, which were a sham to begin with just like the last elections here in the US. -- you're seeing it from the purely American point of view - here's the view from someone in Poland on the border with Ukraine -- the Ukrainians in general want to move away from Moscow's control and corruption. The USA is not a factor that MADE them do it

  4. Those days when Russia had any ideas of expansion are long gone and over -- sorry, but this is utterly false. Moscow has repeatedly talked of recovering the Tsarist empire and treats central asia, the caucasus and Ukraine/Belarus as "illegitimate countries"

The history of the area is that Ukrainians are a separate branch of East slavs - distinct from Muscowites.

They were under the dominion of Muscowy from the late 1700s onwards, but loosely. That changed from the 1870s to 1914 but then loosened when there was a de jure (but not de facto) independent Ukrainian soviet republic.

You keep talking about “Russian ethnicity” yet ignore the fact that there are plenty of people who speak Russian as their first language but consider themselves Ukrainian. And plenty of people whose parents came from what is now the Russian federation and yet consider themselves Ukrainian.

the Kremlin invading Ukraine twice was just wrong and is wrong

I don’t have the time to list the thousands of “just wrong” things in the world. I will call your attention to one “just wrong” thing though, the Obama/Soros gang turning Ukraine into a corrupt Western woke satrapy. Of course, you’re cool with that. You’re also cool with those Western woke globalists starting WWIII to protect their puppet regime. Talk about “just wrong”.

Has anyone here ever figured out why Youcrayne has had a serious Nazi problem since WWII?

Right, its why Ukraine elected a Jewish President Zelensky, because they are all nazis. Amazingly, morononic

“The Kremlin invading Ukraine twice was just wrong and is wrong.”

Amen.

That is why the nations united for Ukraine: “De Oppresso Liber.”

This meaning is “To free the oppressed,” or “Free from having been oppressed.”

The Obama/soros gang is pals with Putin.

have you forgotten Obama telling Putin he would be able to work with him after the mid-terms?

Have you forgotten that Soros gained from the chaos in Ukraine?

the New World Order is led by Putin

MArch 26, 2012 Obama tells Russia's Medvedev more flexibility after election

President Barack Obama was caught on camera on Monday assuring outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he will have “more flexibility” to deal with contentious issues like missile defense after the U.S. presidential election.

And Soros was the one who gained the most with Putin's invasion of Ukraine
