Rick is an interesting study - if you know anything about him. Ace pitcher that threw 5 WP's in an inning in a playoff game.
Never recovered - as a pitcher.
Reinvented himself as an outfielder and returned to the ML's to make throws like this.
He also hit some prodigious HR's - even in playoff situations.

Don't get the yips. In any sport. I hit a putt twice in a crucial best ball situation once after getting my amateur status back years ago. It affects everything.

Don't get the yips.
I think it was the New York Football Giants, whose kicker missed THREE point after touchdowns in one game. He wasn't a bad kick, he just got the yips.

Thanks for posting this! Some amazing displays of incredible athleticism.
Cory Snyder, Rob Deer, Bobby Abreu, and Dave Parker were some of the best outfield arms I had the pleasure of seeing.
Dave Parker gunning Brian Downing in the ‘79 All-Star Game, out at home plate from the warning track, no bounce, laser straight. One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.

Especially w/ golf. Late in his career Tom Watson told the press after a dismal putting performance - Maybe you’re only supposed to make so many putts in a lifetime. Maybe I’ve made all mine already.

is WP wild pitch? If so is that too difficult to write?

He played for the Tennessee Smokies (AA minor league) - maybe 2005 or 2006?

Ace pitcher that threw 5 WP's in an inning in a playoff game. I was watching that game, and realized at the time that his career as a pitcher was over.
