Obvious possible hate crime. It should be investigated as such, honestly I think all the black perps have to say is “it wasn’t hate” and the investigation in that direction is over. With the roles reversed they go back 20x years and look for any sign the killer ever said the N word.
In Louisville Ky when Jason Spencer was out walking with his newly wed wife, they were assaulted shot and robbed by 3 black teen males. A police officer testified in the jail the shooter said he wished he could have shot more of the white motherforkers. Yet It was never tried as a hate crime and the thugs have to serve less than 20 years.

I read that the victims were in some sort of burglary/theft ring with the killers.
I think that white victims and confederates of black criminals run a higher risk of being killed than black victims or confederates not just because of racial animosity, but because the black criminals don’t trust the whites to follow the don’t snitch code.
If a black criminal robs a black kid of his bicycle, he might be more likely to face street retaliation than arrest.
