There was a device on the coat of arms for the son born out of wedlock, called “Bar Sinister”, which may or may not have standing in the history of heraldry.
As one who knows nothing about British rules of succession, I ask: would the fact that Charles and Camilla are now married legitimize him and make him the heir to the throne? Could lead to an interesting situation, since we haven’t had a war of succession in ages.
