The decline of the society in general, and of black society specifically, can be placed IMHO on Johnson and the “Great Society”. With the government replacing the man of the house as the chief bacon-winner.

What is baffling about that is that the blacks made their switch to the democrat party in 1936, a complete, total, and permanent reversal of their vote.
