Playoff hockey is unlike most other sporting events. The excitement and the tension is off the charts. I went to one of the Toronto games and was absolutely blown away by the atmosphere - and the only other sporting events I’ve been to in the last 10 years are Penn State whiteouts.

It is a shame that Canadian sited teams do not do better. Only very old men have memories of the Leafs glory days. The last Canadian city Stanley Cup was in 1993 with Montreal beating my L.A. Kings.
I guarantee you the environment is a LOT more intense in Toronto for the playoffs than it is in Vegas or Carolina. (My home state Hartford Whalers moved there, and those who have been to both places confirm that fan support in Carolina is tepid, and many tickets are bought by businesses, not fans).
