They just don’t know what that something is—much less the someone who did it.
The first thing they have to figure out is what killed the sea urchins. Then they can track back from there to the who where and how.

The first thing they have to figure out is what killed the sea urchins. Then they can track back from there to the who where and how. They are pretty sure it is a disease. Apparently it was first noticed in the Mediterranean, where invasive species of Urchin suddenly died off.
