The link is a download of the McCarthy/Biden bill. Read it. We got the shaft again. The devil is in the details. We got nothing and the dems got everything. The cuts to spending are too low and places no limits on borrowing. After factoring in a small cut to discretionary spending over the next 2 yrs, we are still talking about $6T more or less in spending because of large increases in spending elsewhere. The bill doesn’t actually set a debt limit. Rather it suspends the debt limit until Jan. 2, 2025, and there is no actual amount capping the debt ceiling. The bill allows the Director of OMB to spend money irrespective of PAYGO regulations. It gives them a blank check! The bill DOES NOT reduce funding for 87,000 IRS agent hires, and does not repeal the Biden-Harris Student Debt Relief program. The bill fully funds every spending request by the Administration.
I’m shocked that the Republican party does not support anything that Republican voters believe in.

It’s treason. McCarthy broke pledge after pledge. He needs to be removed and McConnell too. Enough is enough.

Organizations create bubbles, consisting of insiders. Insiders do not see what needs to be fixed, and even if they do, they do not have the courage or the initiative to make changes, because it would affect their friends or their relatives.

Yes, the main problem is it does not set or impose a debt ceiling limit now.
I would also prefer such a debt ceiling limit be temporary for only a few months, until the House puts together a new budget for the next fiscal year.
No set limit now means Biden can spend at will for another year.
Because it would be hard for you to point out when they have voted to what the voters believe in. After all, they are smarter than you or I , which means they will vote what they believe in.

If by "we", you mean Republicans, they massively support this bill and the ideology behind it. The bill satisfies many of the essential GOP priorities, which are:
1) Open borders
2) A global open market in labor
3) Offshoring productive industries
4) Financialization of the economy
5)) Severing the medium of exchange function of money from the store of value function.
6) Usury as the main engine of consumption.
7) Denying the people their natural, healthy love of their nation
8) Overseas wars on behalf of alien peoples without recompense for our sacrifice.
9) Forced "diversity" with its attendent decline in standards and inevitably accompanying violence.
The GOP has plenty of principles, convictions, and values. YOU must decide if they are yours, or not.

As long as the government is functioning under Modern Monetary Theory, the arrangement in this bill is massively popular.
I can remember everyone in an election race mentioned canceling the IRS additions, specifically and determinedly.
Another blow to those of us who make under $100,000. No congressional critters will be affected so probably not something they gave much thought to!

Since no lawmakers demonstrated the leadership skills to lead House majority to vote no, ALL incumbents need to be primaried in 2024 imo.
The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same lawmakers to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.
We are always forced to vote for the lesser of the evils. We end up voting for these bums because to vote for the other guy would be even worse.
