Gay Days at Disney have been going on for years, probably at least 10 or more and it’s never been much of a big deal, until now.
When we were kids back in the early 1980s we heard of “gay days” at places like King’s Island and Disney. We were told the parks never knew when one was going to happen. It was a day a bunch of them showed up with “gay day” shirts on and were everywhere. Was told the parks didn’t like it but could do nothing about them.
I was told one year at King’s Island a bunch of bikers happened to be there while one gay day was going on and were slamming the gays up against the wall and calling them “queers” and “fags”. I have no way to validate this story was just something another kid told me.

Well, it was a big enough deal for us/friends of ours, to make certain we never set foot at that place, during homo/perv days.
It wasn’t officially sanctioned by Disney until a few years ago.
