Last month, U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor spoke to the Serbian American Voters Alliance at the New Gračanica Monastery in Third Lake, Illinois. I attended the event on behalf of the Thinker and heard Macgregor discuss his experiences in the U.S. Army, America’s fiscal and cultural decay, and his analysis of the Russo-Ukrainian War.
Macgregor was heavily involved in the 1990–91 Gulf War and in the conflict between Albanian separatists and Yugolasavia over Kosovo. Under former President Donald Trump, Macgregor served as the senior advisor to the acting secretary of defense.
America’s Fading Moral Compass
Discussing American national leadership, Macgregor observed that “there is no moral compass in Washington anymore.” While we used to have one, he argued, we no longer do because it is “either being ignored or jettisoned.”
America’s moral compass faded away because the “religious principles [that] guided us for centuries” are no longer front and center in the contemporary U.S., contended Macgregor.
The fruits of American moral dissolution include the dollar “being destroyed and ruined”; the rule of law “almost being formally suspended” because “criminals have more rights than victims”; and, more broadly, “gross mismanagement at every level.”

The political class hates an officer like MacGregor because he is truthful with his assessments and the truth is not acceptable in Washington DC.
He’d make an outstanding Defense Secretary if Trump wins and the neocons in the Senate don’t block him.
Russia started the war against Ukraine. Maybe traitor MacGregor and his child molesting buddy Scott Ritter could mention that sometime.

McGregor claiming Russia was taking land lost in the Khereson/Kharkiv Offensive, and saying there will be a great Russian winter offensive:
“They have taker such horrendous losses that now local Russian forces are taking back the terrain that was lost.
This happening down in Lyman.”

Ah, bellowing blowhard Lumpy Macgregor, having throughly beclowned himself with his broken record predictions of disaster for Ukraine and victory for glorious Russia for 15 months, is now deigning to lecture America about its morality.
Perhaps he is running for Ayatollah?

His fans would probably want to make Scott Ritter the HHS Secretary.
I wouldn’t trust him because of his apparent lack of knowledge of history.
He sounds like a good ground leader but you have to know your enemy’s strategies, history, and hidden agenda. I don’t think he has or if so, he doesn’t understand their true nature.
Scott Ritter. Wouldn’t turn my back on him. He went off the deep end years ago and has kept sinking ever since.
