I had a mild ischemic (non bleeding) stroke last year. BP was elevated but they didn’t treat it with medication for a week. They said recovery was better if they let it come down slowly on its own for the first 7 days after the stroke. They were correct. No problems afterward and made a quick recovery.

When I was in the hospital, the hospitalit wanted me to take medication, because I had a slightly elevates BP. But of course I did, I was in the hospital.
