As Russia amassed troops on the Ukrainian border, Russian President Vladimir Putin, his spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, and other Russian officials repeatedly denied that their country had plans to invade Ukraine. They blamed the U.S., Ukraine and others for the tension, insisting that Russia is a “peaceful country” and that it is “not going to attack anyone.”
That, of course, was proven false when Russia launched a full-scale invasion against Ukraine on Feb. 24 — two days after Russian tanks rolled into eastern Ukraine on a “peace-keeping” mission.

The Ukies who were occupying Kherson have been playing catch with Russian artillery for MONTHS.
The Ukie high command [less Zaluzhny] needed their cannon fodder occupying Kherson city over in the Zaporozhye line, so they blew the dam - just like they'd been publicly planning to do.
I'll bet those poor suckers in Kherson city got The Warm Fuzzies when they got the order to load the transports. The feeling was probably similar to the one they got when they were first press-ganged.

Ukrainians are In Kherson because Kherson is inside Ukraine. It’s an Ukraininan town.

I’m sure this includes many of the descendants of those who fought for Nazi Germany.
