They were Christians, all of whom warned me of the Babylonian/Sabatean/Kabbalist Jews, who are supposedly separate from the Torah Jews, or Messianic Jews, who are falling out of favor. Whenever I’ve tried to get clarity from actual Jews, they seem to talk in riddles.
