The British university student who was killed in the tragic Titanic submarine 'implosion' was 'terrified' about the trip and only joined the crew to please his dad for Father's Day, his heartbroken aunt has revealed.
Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, 19, were two of the five victims killed instantly when the OceanGate submersible suffered a 'catastrophic implosion' just 1,600ft from the bow of the Titanic, according to the US Coast Guard.
The other victims were OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, French Navy veteran Paul-Henri (PH) Nargeolet and British billionaire Hamish Harding. They had been missing since the Titan sub vanished on Sunday, prompting a nail-biting search for the crew

Sounds like the kid was the only one of the five with any common sense. Well... at least he didn’t suffer. That had to be the quickest death imaginable.
What crap “Father’s Day” - an American tradition with no history in Pakistan until the 21st century. Everyone around the world now just blindly apes all American things.
So who dies quicker someone in an imploding sub 2 miles down. Or someone near ground zero of an atomic bomb.

Actually I read it was an extended family of 14 , 2 of which were killed in a drive-by shooting at a Frosty serve located near the bow section.

The implosion at depth is more dramatic.
With a atomic explosion at ground zero, you just explode as one is vaporized.
With the implosion; one is instantly compressed, heated and exploded while your parts are still compressed.

My dad used to manufacture the hatches assemblies for submarines. For every ten he made, five went thru destructive testing to prove the materials and workmanship. Every bolt was serial numbered and had metallurgy testing done on them.
That's why they cost $400,000 each.
