The Navy knew within an hour something imploded. The Navy has sound profiles of the Threher imploding. Biden’s regime likely required them to keep it secret and waste all this money to overshadow the Hunter Biden charges.

Our current government dictator is a horrible creature

Money is the least of his worries. He should be going to jail.

He has no more worries at all. He got squished to pulp. There's nothing left of him to put in jail.

On another thread I read that it had made 25 dives. I also read that in that particular configuration sub, it's typically scrapped after 2 or 3 dives because of the compression/decompression stress on the hull.

But, no narrow minded old white engineers. At least there was that.

“... Our military subs are construct with a steel whose recipe and capabilities are one of the Sub communities best kept secrets....”

The Navy keeps careful track of the number of cycles from surface to depth as each cycle does a tiny amount of damage to the hull. The CEO of Oceangate made a big feature that the hull of his sub was designed by a former NASA engineer. Engineering for space and engineering for water are wildly different. I listened to someone who designed subs talking about why carbon fiber was a bad choice. He said you can only do a finite element model of solid surfaces. Carbon fiber is made of thousands of strands. Over cycles it experiences micro cracks and intrusion seepage you can’t see or measure. When it fails, it does so like a ceramic dish hitting a tile floor; sudden and catastrophic. He and others had sent a letter some years ago warning of the poor choice and they were ignored.

Another issue is the CEO didn’t want a bunch of fifty-year-old white men working for him as they weren’t “inspirational.” I watched one of his female employees, a YouTube “influencer” talk about her job with the company. Apparently, she had been hired to be inspirational rather than for any specialized knowledge. She posted a video of herself taking a fellow straight white male employee to a drag show. I have to wonder if the straight white male employee had to lie to get the job.

Yes, that is why I separated it out. There were two kinds of delays. And both could have been caused by the fact that those in the know knew it would be of no use.

I am not sure we have been told why the big delay from the Coast Guard, Customs, or whatever it was holding up the machinery once the problem was known.

“Cameron, who is considered an expert at diving and submersibles...”

In much the same way that Alex Baldwin is an ‘expert’ on firearms?

The image of that lone 12 inch porthole of thick glass really sticks with me. My laptop has more viewing area than that.

That was going to be their only view?

They also apparently had monitors on board that would show images from the cameras mounted outside but how is that different than viewing the same images from the comfort of the ship on top of the water or even a land-based location?

Also, consider that these five had to sit cross-legged jowl-to-jowl with each other for the entire journey. They had virtually no space in there to move about. So to take a turn at the one porthole, they would have to literally climb over each other in a space so tiny you couldn't even stand up. I get claustrophobic just thinking about it.

The passengers also had to go on a special diet before the trip to bind themselves up inside, so that they would not need to have a bowel movement during the journey. I suppose they were all wearing adult diapers (for any urine discharge) but a bowel movement would have stunk that tiny space up for sure. I can't even imagine.

“I can’t think of a sadder and more depressing place to go to die.”

1500 souls who absolutely did not want to die is a lot of bad karma to trifle with for a selfie.

““As a submersible designer myself, I designed and built a sub to go to the deepest place in the ocean – three times deeper than Titanic,”

IMPRESSIVE - I figured he was just another Leftist Hollywood type.

I actually think that may be premature. It appears it may be based on a photo of different debris.

One of the more bizarre anecdotes to the story will be that a descendent of Macy’s founder was on that sub. The titanic story about the Macy’s man who wouldn’t leave until all women and children left and then his wife refusing to leave is touching and tragic.

It's the amalgamation of so many terrifying nightmares that's made this story so compelling.

We can be grateful for some comfort in that out of all alternatives, their passing was likely instantaneous.

Truly horrific altogether, though.

They went to a graveyard and they never left.

The worst horror realized; they have become part of "The Tour".

Prayers out to all touched by this.

Sounds like a lot of “inspiring, young” people of color will be losing their jobs. Back to surfing and laying around on the beach drinkin’ beer and pickin’ up chicks.

Was this the maiden voyage of this craft? Had it even been tested at all?

The Navy KNEW on Sunday that it had IMPLODED...they HEARD it, therefore Biden KNEW it and yet they kept up the facade they might still be alive so that the Hunter story was suppressed!

Well, Biden's handlers knew it. The only thing Joey knows - possibly - is when his depends needs changing.

“As a submersible designer myself, I designed and built a sub to go to the deepest place in the ocean – three times deeper than Titanic,” [Cameron] said.

Bullschiff. What a self-aggrandizing liar this guy is. What he means to say is he's hired actual engineers to design and build submersibles. And one of his engineers told him what the rest of us engineers know: CF is a tool used for tension, not compression.

Let me guess....millions of tons of ocean water on top of the craft did it. Was I right?
