Instead of apologizing, they should have released a statement that said: “We have dozens of trainings and have used targets that have depicted whites, asians, hispanics, and blacks. In fact, it would be discrimination not use photos of black people. Take your race-baiting and go stuff it.”

I remember the 1970s when firearm groups came under criticism for using the silhouette of what appears to be a black man running for their targets.
In the early 1980s the same target appeared labeled “The Running Iranian.”

Back in the mid to late 80’s the NAACP made the Florida FBI destroy 500 Targets of a Black man holding a gun. A friend of mine snagged one and gave it to me.
The FBI used an image of Dillinger (who was White) for years. They’re just sharing the luv ‘sall.
Next in the barrel might be the Dalai Lama (who is Asian) or Graham Greene (who is a red Indian).
First thing that came to mind was the Magnum Force shooting competition scene. Notice all the targets are white, and this movie was made in 1973.
