America is the new Sodom & Gomorrah...but getting even more satanic
Sodom and Gomorrah were at most a few thousand people who we would never have heard of if not for the Bible (unlike say the Babylonians). They did not have world hegemony to promote degeneracy, though they were evil enough for destruction.
The Roman Empire is sometimes cited as an historical example of degeneracy, but that was a few particularly bad emperors and the upper classes in Rome and a few big cities.
A more recent parallel people like to cite is the Weimar Republic. But the degeneracy was illegal there, though tolerated in the old imperial capital Berlin, and some other cities such as Stuttgart. Certainly not in Weimar itself, and certainly not promoted by the big corporations that existed or the public school system.
In the future beyond our time the main historical object lesson will be Sodom and Gomorrah (the first we know about because it is in the Bible), and the present day "West" especially the USA.
