Nonsense. If you don’t know how to grill, you don’t know what you are doing. A lot of factors. Never use 80/20 ground beef. Use 90/10 (lean/fat ratio) and never use direct heat until the end. There is more but those are few of the main points. And cooking it on sove top is fine too.

I agree about using indirect heat until the end. Charcoal to the sides.

I like mine juicy. Cast iron pan. 90/10 - NEVER!

Agree with your burger cooking method. I add a little, 1/4 cup or so, of olive oil when I mix in my seasonings, put it in a zip lock bag or pressed between seran wrap into parties, then place in freezer to stiffen up the patties, and then place on a hot charcoal grill away from the fire. Good burgers!
