People who identify as transgender have significantly higher rates of suicide and suicide attempts compared with the rest of the population, according to a population-level study out of Denmark.
The study of more than 6.6 million people found that those who identified as trans had 7.7 times the rate of suicide attempts and 3.5 times the rate of suicide deaths than the broader Danish population.
Among the 3,759 survey participants who identified as transgender, there were 92 suicide attempts and 12 suicides between 1980 and 2021. However, the numbers are probably a significant undercount, as the researchers say the records they used do not always capture a person’s gender identity.
The authors of the study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, are careful to note that it has limitations. It can only count the number of suicides among people who have sought care from a hospital for gender identity-related medical issues, and it can only capture the number of trans people who applied for a legal change of gender. It does not detail what percentage of the population may be missed.
The study also does not pin down exactly why trans people face a higher suicide risk, but the researchers theorize that part of the problem may be “minority stress,” in which people are bullied, discriminated against, socially excluded or faced with general prejudice for who they are. The researchers say previous work has showed that 60% of transgender people in Denmark experienced abuse in the form of harassment or bullying, and 30% experienced physical violence. Trans people in Denmark also report that they face discrimination in their interactions with the health care system.
The researchers also note that the work may not reflect the situation in other countries.

It’s because they are nuts. People who are nuts have higher rates of all sorts of societal dysfunctions.
Obviously society’s fault. We must all buy in to their condition and celebrate them as completely normal; doing otherwise is an assault that may result in death.

Only so many hormones to take, surgeries to get, not just top and bottom mind you but plastic on the face and maybe other body parts. They do all that and they may look like the other gender but they are still not happy because deep inside they are still what ever they were born as.

Mentally ill people, depressed, schizophrenics, bi polar have high sucide stats. We treat them. We don’t turn the entire country upside down to please them.

Pro-transgender news media claims that the fact people who have completed gender transition have a lower suicide rate than other transgenders means that transitioning saves lives. But 80% (earlier studies said 97%) of people who suffer from gender dysmorphia spontaneously recover. The post-transgender decline in the suicide rate is far less than 80 percent. So that means that gender transitioning increases suicide.
Words or silence? Both are racist when originating with European designated white people. ANY activity , communication or thought originating with or repeated by a white person is “racist.” Being white is racist. The only way for a white person to erase the stain of racism is to die. Even white suicide, being an action performed by a white person is racist.
That’s always been true. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness. It has long been recognized as severe. Many who suffer from it have been profoundly miserable and depressed their entire lives. Many compound the problem by self-medicating with alcohol and drugs. There is nothing new in any of this.
The current woke position is that the misery of these people is caused by being misunderstood, mocked, bullied, etc. The demand is that all of society be reorganized into a vast cheering section to celebrate, validate, and affirm the mental illness.
It ain’t gonna work. We are decades away from solid, long term data, but I will not be surprised if the suicide rate actually increases under the trans supremacy regime. Getting oneself surgically mutilated is not a solution to the feeling of not fitting in.
Maybe the anti-depressants and other mood-altering drugs are better today. I imagine they beat booze and street drugs. But that’s not a cure. These people are still sick in the head.
