Republicans who want their party to support the transgender and homosexual agenda are upset that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign has criticized 2024 opponent President Donald Trump for boosting it.
“To wrap up ‘Pride Month,’ let’s hear from the politician who did more than any other Republican to celebrate it,” DeSantis War Room, the digital messaging arm of the governor’s presidential campaign, tweeted, along with a video produced by another user named “Proud Conservative.”
The video notes that President Trump’s presidential campaign sold “LGBTQ for Trump” shirt, and also that he held up a rainbow flag to show his support for the LGBT agenda and from LGBT activists. It includes footage of DeSantis and headlines of a drag show being canceled in response to legislation passed in Florida.
The “Log Cabin Republicans,” a homosexual advocacy group, accused DeSantis’ campaign of being “homophobic.”
“Today’s message from the DeSantis campaign War Room is divisive and desperate. Republicans and other commonsense conservatives know Ron [DeSantis] has alienated swing-state and younger voters,” the group tweeted. “Conservatives understand that we need to protect our kids, preserve women’s sports, safeguard women’s spaces and strengthen parental rights, but Ron DeSantis’ extreme rhetoric…has just ventured into homophobic territory…”

Why don’t you explain that to Grennell, Scott Presler, or Brandon Straka as well as other fiscally conservative, MAGA patriots, people who fight for many of the same values Freepers do.
Judge people on the whole package not based on who they sleep with.
While the acts may disgust me they are private as are heterosexual acts. No sex act belongs in the public space, especially not before children or in schools. My personal belief is that while a commitment ceremony is fine marriage is not a line that should have been crossed. It should not have been a National decision; it belonged with the States in any case. But that is in the past. Now we deal with the fallout.

Like several other desantis supporters/nevertrumpers that said the video wasn’t from the desantis campaign.....
Yet, the campaign spokeperson pushaw did not disavow the video or deny it was from their campaign.
Instead, she tried to misdirect people on how there should not be a month long pride month.
A spokesperson for DeSantis’ campaign, Christina Pushaw, responded to Grennell’s criticism on Twitter, writing on Friday: “Opposing the federal recognition of ‘Pride Month’ isn’t ‘homophobic.’ We wouldn’t support a month to celebrate straight people for sexual orientation, either... It’s unnecessary, divisive, pandering. In a country as vast and diverse as the USA, identity politics is poison.”
and your problem with Pushaws statement is what?
Almost any issue can involve a slippery slope that will eventually leave you hip deep in sewage at the bottom of the slope. We have seen that with the homosexual agenda. Others are now criticizing social conservatives and pontificating about fiscal conservatism. Fiscal conservatism has already become a slippery slope for some and will get more so for others. If you have no firm values, no hill to die on, you will eventually end up in the sludge at the bottom.
Those who are “fiscally conservative but socially liberal” are probably willing to leave social conservatives like myself in the dust...or in the jailhouse.
I have wavered on various issues over the years, but long ago the homosexual agenda became my hill to die on. I will not support a candidate who supports it. Period. There are many like me. If it means losing, so be it. We have a better country, that is, a heavenly one, that awaits us.

So, everyone that doesn’t agree with you as a liar? You need to get over yourself. I’ll tell you this, though, the video was disgusting. It’s not from the campaign, it was created, as you and everyone does, if they look at it, by a group call, proud elephant. I do think it was stupid to link to it, and I do think that Christina Pushaw, a foreign agent needs to be fired. But that said, the point that Trump supports transsexual, and LGBT is undeniable, so yes, he is criticizing this from the left. I definitely support DeSantis in opposing trans gender ism, and LGBT.

You're the only one who is ever actually caught lying. Like the other day when you said the Events page on the DeSantis webpage was empty, till I actually linked it for everyone 10 minutes later.
DeSantis is right again but still not going to win the nomination.
Several desantis supporters/nevertrumpers spent a lot of effort in a 100+ post thread to gaslight and fool FR into believing that the video didn’t come from, and was not associated or the responsibility of, the desantis campaign.
The desantis supporters were lying in that thread, as many of them have shown they do, and...
The desantis campaign spokesperson when asked about the video didn’t deny it was from them, nor did she denounce the content of the video.

“Who they sleep with” has turned into teachers secretly arranging sex change procedures for kids.
