This is fake news. It was a good shooting.
After many 911 calls, the family of juvenile delinquents were still harassing the homeowner on her property. The mother of the boys was at the front door attempting entry.
The homeowner is not obligated to wait until the family of at least 5 militants gains entry and demonstrates whether they are unarmed.
Also, these are not next door neighbors accidentally crossing a property line, they had to cross a street to get onto the homeowner’s property.
This was self defense. A vigilante does not call 911 over and over.
She's a renter, just like everyone else on the complex.
Though I reserve final judgement until all facts are on the table (and they definitely are not in this case — the story has evolved since last I saw it), I’m astounded that most FR commentors take the side of the “family”.
The Ben Crump/media machine is evidently winning the narrative battle, not least because no one is pushing back.
The police have an interest in blaming the shooter, because their failure to resolve the noise/trespassing* problem was a factor, whoever was at fault for the final incident. And the police know that no hordes of older white women from Jersey will be rioting over this, yet Ben Crump can easily field protesters and anti-cop mobs. *The field constituted an “attractive nuisance”; New Jersey woman should have contacted the property owner to secure their site and post it.
The fingerpost pointing to the aggressor: The shooter remained inside her own home. The shooter made no attempt to seek out the shootee. The shootee went a considerable distance to get to the shooter’s door.
