Sharks have been spotted swimming in shallow waters at several Florida beaches this Fourth of July weekend, sending frantic swimmers fleeing to safety as beachgoers took videos of the startling incidents.
A hammerhead shark appeared zipping in and out of shallow waters in Perdido Key Sunday afternoon — at one point swimming five to 10 yards offshore, WEAR TV reported.
The massive creature can be seen aggressively thrashing about in the ocean as concerned onlookers yell out: “Shark!” Swimmers sprint out of the water, peering over their shoulders, as onlookers cry out about the danger.

Swimming in Minnesota lakes for the summer and pools for the rest of the year does not sound bad at all.
Sharks should be massively culled. They are not needed. They are top line predators who compete with us for food. They are not kosher, but make great cat food and boots. Thin them out. Good idea?

Hammerhead sharks are pretty harmless to humans. Only about a couple handful of attacks on humans in the past 500 years, none fatal.
I’m all for culling land sharks. Those damn things are always ringing my doorbell.

The video shows the shark which was cool but Im glad to see that it’s not just NY & NJ that have loads of fat people on the beach. NY & NJ fatties probably have more ink.
Candygram!
Possibly the stupidest idea of all time. Look up the ecosystem and try to understand that sharks are beneficial to the seas.

Nope. They help keep the population of other creatures in check.
I think the majority of bad attacks are from great whites, bull, and tiger sharks.
You mean, they weren’t beached whales?!
Nevermind. Just watched the vid... They are about 20% of the average size here on Oahu (tourists are a bit better).
Scientists have an explanation why there is an increase of shark attacks off East Coast
