A DoorDash customer who was sworn at on her own porch by an 'entitled' driver for giving a 25 percent tip on a $20 Pizza Hut order is a disabled military veteran.
Mom-of-two Lacey Purciful, 38, told DailyMail.com that she was in a head-on collision in March with an alleged drunk driver, and currently has serious injuries to her spinal cord.
Because of this, she can't cook and has been relying on DoorDash to feed her family.
She was left stunned after Corey, the now-fired worker, suggested someone living in a $500,000 home should have been more generous in a foul-mouthed interaction caught on her doorbell camera in Kempner, Texas.
The DoorDash employee shouted '**** you' before scurrying off her property.
Lacey, who is a disabled vet, said: 'I can't stand. I've started using DoorDash since my accident.
'I worked in the restaurant industry for years before joining the military, I'm a very good tipper.
'Earlier in the day I tipped an elderly DoorDash driver $5.50 for a $17 order of half a dozen donuts - and then I gave him an extra $5. I tipped him over 50%.'
Her delivery, which went viral on social media, came to $22 dollars - which included a $16 medium pizza and a portion of breadsticks.
The Pizza Hut which she ordered from was just a six mile drive from her home in central Texas.
She said that the driver, who is described as being in his late 20s, started running off her lawn after he shouted the profanity on Friday night.

Unless her husband is deployed, what the hell is he doing that she needs to be ordering Door Dash every meal? Doesn’t excuse what happened, but that’s pretty pathetic if she has to feed her family via Door Dash and there is another able bodied adult that can help.

I guess she could hire a lady to cook for her or maybe she would qualify for meals on wheels?
She must be desperate. Hence willing to eat “food” from Pizza Hut
Wow, 2nd post and the assumptions to berate the husband come out.
You sound just like the doordash driver, making assumptions and hating on the husband.
I used to love their meat lovers pizza but any more their stuff has gone down hill.
Even some frozen pizza brands are way better.
How she spends her money is no business of yours. Your probably on the side of the disgrace of a door dash worker.
That is a pretty sensational headline.
Maybe he's on duty?
Pizza hut use to deliver with their own drivers. when did that change?
Maybe he is working to supply money for the family....
Her and hubby are both vets...she's not a "disabled vet". Either way...tough situation. Seems like they're reasonably wealthy and neither she nor hubby like to cook.
Nope...both are vets.
Our tipping culture is getting out of hand. Now most places that are walk up and order at the counter have touch screens off to the side of the register or card readers that ask how much tip you would like to leave when confirming the amount. I have been guilty of leaving many tips in this scenario in the past to help businesses and people out but what am I tipping for? For someone to take my order and hand me a cup? I feel like I am being guilted into giving a tip for nothing everytime I go to eat at places that have these screens in place.
What the hell business is it of yours, if she wants to use Doordash? geez .
I bet she’s outside their delivery area, but DoorDash drivers will go further.
“Our tipping culture is getting out of hand...”
I agree! If I’m getting take out why do I need to tip at all? During COVID I got take out because they were limiting how many could be in a restaurant so why bother? Just take it home and eat it. Millions did it that way.
While I was waiting for my take out I overheard one waitress complaining about the lack of tips from the take out orders. What did she expect? All she’s doing is taking a bag from the kitchen to the counter. Sorry, not sorry but I don’t see that is worth tipping over.
Tipping used to be a gratuity (thank you) for someone who did exceptional service. Now it seems to be an expected surcharge no matter how good or bad the service is. Takeout is just buying the food at the posted price. There is no more service than going to the grocery store. No one would even consider tipping a checkout person at a grocery store or any other retail store.
Heck, a 25% tip is VERY VERY GENEROUS.
The delivery guys was a complete jerk.
