Britney Spears was allegedly assaulted Wednesday night in Vegas, after a member of NBA phenom Victor Wembanyama's security backhanded her in the face, and she has filed a police report.
The incident went down at Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel around 8:30 PM. Britney, along with her husband, Sam Asghari, and 2 others went to the restaurant for dinner. She was swarmed by fans as she entered the casino.
Britney and co. walked over to Catch, and as they were entering the restaurant, Britney spotted Victor. We're told she's a fan and went over to him to ask if they could take a photo together. She tapped him on his back, right shoulder and, we're told the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs -- the team that drafted Victor last month -- instantly backhanded her, causing her to fall to the ground ... knocking her glasses off.

Who is Wembanyama? He's the latest greatest NBA superstar signed by the San Antonio Spurs. He looks promising.
Britney used to be a superstar. Now she's an old has been. But she still ought to know that you don't go grabbing celebrities with their security all around.
If you do - you get knock on your butt.

There is a long used term for “backhanded in the face.”
Used in big cities to keep women in line and subservient.

Wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t sue him. Surely there’s video of what really happened.

FTA....The source adds the case will “likely” be referred to the D.A., although that does not mean criminal charges will be filed.

Yet many more people still know Britney Spears than know Wembanyama.

In my former life, I had a couple of run-ins with private security. They often forget that the law applies to them too. I always had my attorney on speed dial.

Like her or not, her musical success was historic. Disrespectful. Who slaps a woman, period?

I hope she does sue him. Or even press charges. I don’t care who she is…there’s no excuse for him or his security guard to do something like this.

The bodyguard probably thought she was just another thirsty Cougar Lady demanding to squeeze the Charmin.
He shouldn’t have done that, but I’ve heard about Britneys own bodyguards being very protective of her back at the height of her fame. They straight out told the fans “Look, scream all you want, but do not touch Ms Spears!”

Britney Spears is like that football quarterback who peaked in High School but blew out his knees in the first college game.
When she was in her prime, she wouldn't be desperate enough to ask for a picture with Victor Wembanyama.
To: Responsibility2nd; Lazamataz
I’ll bet if Laz hit it, she wouldn’t press charges……

With a lot more name recognition than Victor Wembanyama. And Wemby (let's face it, that's how we're all going to refer to him) admitted pushing her - a 7'4 athlete pushing a troubled 5' woman who claims she tapped him on the back to get his attention. Not a good look, and wouldn't be even if she was just some random Vegas tourist.
To: Responsibility2nd
That’s seriously really awful. The poor girl is not large. Getting blindsided like that and knocked down to the floor she could have been seriously injured.

Read the article. That didn’t happen.

Maybe "bitch-slapped?"
