He was born in the Dominican Republic.
He and Ricardo Montalban, Julio Iglesias, Ricky Martin and Shakira are Hispanic or Latina, Latino or Latinx.
I knew a Dominican from NYC . He did not identify as black. He’d loudly let people know he did not consider himself as black.
Identified as Hispanic because NYC police identified him because of past interactions.

I’m sure the guy’s great-great grandfather was from Puerto Rico, with subsequent people being all AA. See, that makes him “Hispanic” in today’s racially sensitive times.
