My landlord back in Michigan was a WW2 Marine, wounded on Iwo Jima in fact. Fifteen years ago I remember him saying bitterly about the trend of American politics: “What did I do that for?” He was a good man and a fine Marine. I’m almost glad he’s not alive now to see the mess this current administration is making.

my parents were both WW2 vets and buried in the veteran area under the US flag at the local cemetery.....
my own brother died from the debilitating effects of agent orange when he was a marine in Nam....he was only in his low 70's..his life got cut short...
they did what their country asked, and for what.....to see gay men with their genitals bouncing around in a parade aimed at families and children?.....
