I suspect that the police officer was concerned that she was going to kill her baby. They told her that she was under arrest 10x, told her to let go of the baby, tried to take the baby from her multiple times, etc. She was squeezing the baby like a roll of Charmin.
My suspicion is that the police were genuinely concerned for the babies in the car. I can’t imagine that the police would charge three moms with babies just b/c they didn’t have the kids strapped in to safety seats. They were probably high on weed or some other drug.
I agree completely with you, I think the woman was squeezing the child and he/she was going to be injured.
I don’t like that violence was used, but from what I saw it became that way when she was fighting them with one hand and squeezing the child with her other arm.
Their only concern was the health and welfare of the child at that point, momma was secondary when she started to fight with the child being held in one arm. Had she dropped him/her when they moved in imagine the outcry if the child got hurt. The choice is between mom or the baby getting injured, then there is no choice.
