Years ago jumped out of the pickup to check on a cattle feeder. Realized I was standing on something. Looked down and saw I was standing on a water moccasin. Probably set the world record for standing high jump.
Turned out snake was already dead.
I will leave any snake be… except for a moccasin. I will hunt them down with extreme prejudice
