A 14-year-old boy was put under arrest earlier this month after he was caught attempting a Kia Boys-esque stunt on a Hyundai in North Texas, according to Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth. After he was taken into custody, police realized he was tied to at least 38 other TikTok-inspired car thefts and break-ins in the area.
Cops in Plano, TX say the teen was trying to steal another car when homeowners realized what was happening and called authorities. They blame the Kia Boys trend on TikTok for teaching him how to target and steal these cars. Police also say that they believe the teen didn’t act alone. According to FOX4, if an adult were arrested for these crimes it would mean some pretty solid jail time, but because the boy is only 14-years-old, it’ll be up to the juvenile system to decide on his punishment.

Would it have been legal to shoot him while he did that to his car, in Texas?
No description.....Uh-huh...
Far too much skill for a feral. Clearly a mex/central mestizo.
Makes one nostalgic for the days when kids had Paper Routes, or Mowed Lawns or Bagged Groceries at the A & P or worked as a Car Hop at the A & W.
How we have failed our ‘Yutes.’ They are America’s FUTURE!
And, yes. A bleak future it is. :(
If you’re in the car and they attempt to force you out, yes, that would be legal. Or if there is someone else, like a child, in the car that you are trying to protect.
But probably not just if they are stealing a car with nobody in it. There are still some restrictions in the Texas law.
Nah, it doesn’t take any skill to steal these cars. There’s a vulnerability in a few models with the ignition that they exploit, and the videos on TikTok show them how anyone can do it in under 30 seconds, so they can still absorb that with their short little attention spans.
It takes no skill to exploit the Kia/Hyundai ignition in certain vehicles. Break the window, open the door, break the plastic around the ignition slot, take the end of a usb cable and put it on the little rectangular piece and turn. 15 seconds, maybe 25.
Ahhh gotcha.
What does KIA stand for? Krappy ignition accessories?
Tik-Tox needs to be banned in the US.
It’s part of the war being waged against us by China. Going after our kids.

is another attack.
Both need to be stopped. Yesterday.
Night time? Yes.
MAGA kids
I don’t know if Texas criminal code has changed since 2016, but back then you could use deadly force if someone was trying to steal your parked car after dark.
That’s how you know.
Most kids do the things you mentioned in your post only they don’t make the news. Lots of good kids out there.
….
Yes, I know that. Plenty in my neck of the woods.
It ought to be legal to shoot car thieves. That’s my take.
My vehicle is worth far more to me than the life of a useless street thug that would dare to steal it.
