My belief, based on input from Canadian wife, who has been following this closely, is that Meghan's people have been leaking this out to see where it goes. Having all the earmarks of a pure narcissist, she cannot blame herself for anything, so that leaves luck, Harry, the Royal family, and other outside forces.

She wants to market "Princess" Lillibet as her long-term plan, but if there is a legal split, the Royals (or Harry) revealing the true provenance of both children's birth is far more likely (right now, the press in the UK is under a serious gag order . . . no 1st Amendment there).

My guess is that there is friction, but she won't pull the trigger without a better place to land. Meghan's equivalent of the hot/crazy matrix is the "rich/chump" matrix. High on both the rich and chump axes is ideal. He falls short on the "rich" side, but they don't get any chumpier.

Oh, besides rich and chumpy, she wants someone who can boost her own career . . . she targeted Harry as her own personal “Bill Clinton”, riding to fame on his coattails. They both seriously underestimated the Royal Family’s ability to deal with this type. When the Queen states “Recollections may vary”, it comes out as “Meghan is a no-good lyin’ dog-faced pony soldier”. And it sticks.

Meg’s maybe a narcissist but it’s nothing compared to King Charles and the Royal Family. King Chuckles, monarch of UK and King of WEF who had his first wife killed.
