The Trump persecution is a perfect demonstration of this,Trump is in court just steps away from jail, the Republicans in Congress investigating the democrats doing hearings getting facts, evidence from the actual participants go on tv and tell you about all this then just continue on for months and do NOTHING but continue the hearings and promise MORE HEARINGS and promise somewhere in the future will write a report!
In the meantime the country continues to be sold out by a traitor in the Oval Office,in addition to his entir3 family being traitors, the FBI is led by traitors, the media are traitors.
Folks we don’t have a chance

Republicans seem to be the compulsive moderates. I just read the excerpt but it seems to me it comes down to just a couple of things. Is there something you believe in that’s worth dying for? Then to go along with that would be the courage to act. Trump was one of those ‘one in a million’ in that he owed no one anything politically, as many have noted. That made him independent and fearless, i.e., a real threat to the DC Swamp. Yes, he’s short in some areas of discernment - but a wrecking ball bringing delight to his fans. Most politicians are not known for their courage - they always have an eye towards the next election. The Republican Party seems to be full to overflowing with candidates like Nikki Haley, who fake right to get elected and then begin to compromise immediately afterwards - so they can ‘fit right in’ and milk the slot for all it’s worth. You find out over time, no core beliefs, another ‘also ran’ disappointing politician. Sickeningly more of the same. Our problems are moral and spiritual. What America has really needed is a true religious awakening. Doubtful at this point that that will happen. We are in for hard times as the age old battle between good and evil ratchets up. This may or may not be the 4 horsemen saddling up but I’m pretty sure it’s the end of America as we have known her. Things sure seem to be headed in the direction of a world government and all the ‘fun things’ prophesied about it.

What I do not understand is why news reporting is influencing the justice department

You might have your cause and effect backwards.

Typically, the Justice Department wants to take an action and they get the LAAP-dog media to soften the ground first with their news reporting to make the eventual DoJ action seem more palatable.

“Republicans seem to be the compulsive moderates”

I can see why you think that. It’s a phenom that Rush (and others) used to describe well, and it’s one of several basic differences between Dems and Reps. Far be it for me to be able to surpass how the phenom has already been described. In essence, Dems ask for 3” and settle for 1-1/4”. Their shamelessness and their relentless commitment to “burn it all down and start over” allows them to do so. Reps, cautious, ask for 1” and settle for 5/8”. Over time, incrementally, the Dems get what they asked for.

Conservatives are individualists, and see government only as a “necessary evil”. We focus on our own lives, careers, families, etc.

Liberals are collectivists, who see government as the “be all, end all” of their existence.

Conservatives don’t want State power.

The Left does.

The outcome is predictable.

Maybe you haven’t realized that behind closed doors, dems and repubs in congress are one big happy family.

Biden is not unique in his corruption. The only reason it’s coming out is because those who actually have the power don’t want him to run.

Unfortunately for our country, most of the “conservatives” we elect only remain so until they get a whiff of all that money that’s available from the public treasury. Then, it’s either play ball with the establishment (uniparty/deep state) or go home. No one ever really asks or looks into how these people get so rich so quickly.

I keep reading about how the GOP is lazy, weak, unwilling to fight....etc etc....yet people still belong to the Republican party. Why? Why continue to give support to a party who is unwilling to fight for you and your rights? You want to change their attitude? Maybe drop out of the Republican party and become an Independent. Perhaps IF the numbers of those dropping out of the GOP get high enough, they MIGHT start to question themselves and start to fight for us again?

Until something like that happens, IMO, nothing will ever change with the party. It really is sad how they are leaving God loving, conservatives with nobody to fight for them.

Most conservatives I know have no interest in government — period.

Yes, that idiot Reagan and his stupid "government is the problem" nonsense.

NO.

The wrong people exercising the power of the government are the problem. The right people, when in charge, FAILING to exercise the power the people have given them, are also a problem.

Imagine if the National Guard, supported by the Army and the Marine Corps, had been sent into Minneapolis and Portland on the first night of the riots with 1500 dead rioters on the street when the sun rose the next day?

Whoever made that happen would have been in power for fifty years.

Government is not the problem - it's the solution.

The Crown of Liberty is lying in the gutter. Who will pick it up?

That is why they are called “The Stupid Party.” Republicans are so DUMB, they haven’t figured out that in most cases, all they have to do is play back self incriminating statements made by the corrupt party.

For instance, Schumer was on a rant about taking down the Supreme Court… Jane Fonda blowing up the White House. Has the Stupid Party used any of these video tapes for political purposes? Nope. They’re too STUPID.

The Republicans are going to need to learn to take the gloves off.

If by Republicans you mean the elected, it's never going to happen. The majority of them are as self-serving and power-hungry as the Democrats. If by Republicans you mean "the rest of us", there's pretty much only one more option left (and I don't mean voting). Who leads that?

I'm going to assume you posted that in jest, because I find it hard to believe -- after what we have seen for the last 3+ years in the U.S. -- that anyone on this website would still have that kind of confidence in any institutions of government in this country anymore.

Imagine if the National Guard, supported by the Army and the Marine Corps, had been sent into Minneapolis and Portland on the first night of the riots with 1500 dead rioters on the street when the sun rose the next day?

That's exactly the problem. They weren't sent. That's because -- imagine this -- the government was on the side of the rioters.

You're making my point.

Do you think there even would have been any riots at all if the citizens and business owners of Minneapolis and Portland could operate without any fear of criminal prosecution ... BY THE GOVERNMENT?
