-Lost the Senate

-Retire, retire

He’s probably most popular in his home state of Kentucky.
Wonder what the heckling level will be away from home.

However

New Revised Standard Version
Mark 6:4
Then Jesus said to them, “Prophets are not without honor, except in their hometown, and among their own kin, and in their own house.”

McTurtle won’t be around much longer, he’s breaking down.

The guy running the Senate is Thune, who I don’t know much about except he defeated Tom Daschle “way back in the day.”

My bet is he’ll be another useless Republican bum in the Senate, which is full of deep state bums who do what their financial and media masters want.

*************

That sounds about right for a Senator.

It’s good to have low expectations for any new Republican leadership, that way there won’t be any disappointments.

I think he (Thune) was one of the early signatories to Harry Reid’s “phony soldier” letter, beating out Sanders, Clinton and Obama. I consider the list a rogues’ gallery, and am pleased when one of them exits the world of politics, by whatever means.

Thune is in line with McConnell, Cornyn, Romney, Murkowski, Collins, etc. When Thune defeated Daschle, who was majority leader, Daschle had a nervous breakdown and was in a psychiatric hospital.

Maybe I’m giving McConnell too much credit, but beshear said he would ignore the new law which required him to select a replacement Senator from a list that they provided. Hopefully he steps down if Cameron can defeat him this year.

Ditch Mitch.

I’m a Hoosier but parents still live in Ky. It’s odd how many still like him but I’ve noticed they usually don’t have any valid reasons. I think he is just very familiar to them… like an old family acquaintance.

It’s hard to fathom of narcissism of 80 yo geezers like Mitch and Biden who think they’re indispensable. Ditto DT imo.

Monsanto.

Seems to attract all the RINO scum. Phil Perry, Liz Cheney’s husband was head lawyer for Monsanto. Same law firm that’s friendly to Hunter Biden.

However

He is NO prophet

So your comment is silly at best and desperately intellectually dishonest at worst.

Rino-ish imho.

I was silly. Apologies.

I’ve never been a RINO, though.

As has been done to him at the Fancy Farm picnic every year since he first attended it in 1984 - along with every other politician that speaks there long before that to the present date. That is what it is.

You all posting about this like he was speaking at some neutral site and this was an unusual outburst of fed up people are just making yourselves look ignorant. It was the partisan bussed-in Democrat / union crowd heckling him and every other Republican speaker - that is the crowd who’s heckling is you are celebrating - the Left. The Democrats get the same treatment from the Republican side. Every single year - regardless of how popular or unpopular any of these politicians are in the polls at any given time. Since the YouTube era all of the speeches have been online - you have a decade and half of speeches by all of the politicians - easy to look it up.

The law is, if we are honest, arguably unconstitutional. The Constitution says the governor shall appoint the replacement - it says nothing about the legislature being able to limit who he can appoint. So winning this governor’s race is important, but it is being virtually ignored.
