Trains don’t stop instantly. If a train is twenty feet from you, and it is heading your way, and still moving, at any speed at all, it’s going to run you over.
I have always thought that Mr. Wilson was trying to get dramatic footage of a “hair’s breadth” escape at the last second, and misjudged.
