“You’re completely clueless.”

I believe Trump is the best qualified of the current crop of candidates.

But unfortunately he may not be electable because he gave out mean tweets to people who merited them (and because he didn’t ask his staff to get him a DECLASSIFIED stamp and an ink pad).

I heard that the FBI does not ever use/have body cams. How convenient.

“If they surveilled the man for 5 months, the FBI had plenty of time to CALL him. Why didn’t they?”

He might have been friendly with somebody else they thought possibly worthy of nabbing, so he was not picked up, but his contacts noted.

Very recently he might have be told he had to take his son to SLC for a medical appointment and used Goggle maps to find the medical office. Google would send a copy of the mapping request to DHS.

The Google map request, the man’s past statements and Biden’s SLC itinerary might have set off a red flag alert at DHS.

This red flag alert would have triggered FBI operational planning for execution Wednesday morning.

“He didn’t organize a group, he didn’t march down the street, he didn’t burn a Target store, he didn’t photograph himself, he didn’t write a book, he didn’t print literature, he didn’t steal, he didn’t transfer illegal money, he didn’t take drugs, he didn’t even jaywalk”

Their surveillance software looking for specific behaviors that terrorists have exhibited. Millions of dollars of research has been done to find red flags that might usefully point out dangerous people. If a suspect buys groceries once a week but suddenly doesn’t that probably will trigger an alert. The suspect might get a phony call on his cell phone. If his voice sounds angry, he’ll be followed up. If he doesn’t sound angry, the alert will probably be cancelled.

“If they surveilled the man for 5 months, the FBI had plenty of time to CALL him. Why didn’t they? If he doesn’t have a phone, send him a letter by certified mail, or contact him by email or online post. Discuss the laws he is breaking by publishing specific death threats against the POTUS, and no, free speech rights do not extend to specific threats to kill the President, supported by pics of yourself holding the means. Feel out his practical intentions versus his political bluster. Depending on how this goes, perhaps ask him to come in for an interview. If all that fails, THEN escalate.”

The best thing to do would have been to work via his family.

“The FBI remains committed to meeting the need for transparency, said FBI Director Christopher Wray. ‘Phasing in the use of BWCs is another, important way for us to meet that need.’”

Absolutely. Another possibility would be working through local LEO, such as the County Sheriff and Deputies. They often know what is really up with the local cranks, and sometimes have a certain level of trust, as opposed to feds.

I assume that when Biden announced his trip to Utah, the local FBI wanted to make sure they had handled all known threats, and rushed it. This is what comes of “surveilling” people for long periods, hoping to rope in their contacts, instead of just handling the problem immedicately and simply.

I understand what you’re saying. He resists, he points a weapon,
He is going to get shot.

Hope they can demonstrate he was a threat when they shot him, like pointing a gun at them.

I heard this “team” did not have them on, so maybe Chris hasn’t quite gotten them all disbursed.
