Did the FBI do the right thing? Analyzing the raid that killed a man who threatened President Biden.

Criticism of the FBI’s killing of a Utah man who had made death threats against President Joe Biden on social media quickly made its way through far-right circles with some calling it an “assassination.” But law enforcement and legal experts say based on the information available the FBI’s actions were likely appropriate and justified given the man’s access to guns and the violent specificity of his threats, which went well beyond the bounds of free speech protections.“The First Amendment only goes so far. Not all speech is protected, and he crossed a line,” said Karl Schmae, a retired FBI supervisor and special agent who worked in the FBI’s Salt Lake City division for much of his 22 years of service, including as a supervisor of the domestic terrorism squad and 10 years on the SWAT team.

At this point it’s hard to believe the FBI ever does the right thing.

Did they try going up to the door and knocking first?

Just busting in at zero dark thirty out in the sticks would make most home owners trigger happy.

If he crossed the line with speech, does that give the Feds a free hand to bust in on his home violently and gun him down if he flinches?

Questions that can/could not be asked
“Did the FBI do the right thing?”
Did the Stasi do the right thing?
Did the Gestapo do the right thing?
Did the KGB do the right thing?

Did they try going up to the door and knocking first?

Reports are that the FIB has had him under physical surveillance since March.

They could have grabbed him as he walked out his front door on his way to church if they wanted to.

But pre-dawn raids with full SWAT is designed to send a message to the rest of the MAGAs out there...

Given the guy’s age and physical health, I’d think the FBI could have cordoned the place off, called for him to come out, and then just waited. But where’s the fun in that?

Death threats. I wouldn’t knock first. Wait for when he leaves the house unarmed. They ATF could have done that with David Koresh at Waco. It seems the SOP is to shoot first and don’t ask questions later.

I go by the premise that everything the FBI does is wrong and much of it is evil.

They followed Robertson to church, and other places. They talked to Robertson in the past without violence. Robertson was not mobile and not a threat. They proved they could peacefully talk to Robertson, but they choose to send a message by an early morning violent raid.

What you do if you home was being broken into early in the morning?

They brutally murdered Robertson when there were other ways to talk to him or arrest him.

They left Robertson’s body to bleed out in the street for two hours to send a message.

The neighbors got the message. America got the message. I got the message.

The FBI needs to be defunding. The FBI needs to be shuttered. Every agent on the Robertson raid needs to be charged with murder. Tried. Found guilty. And receive the death penalty.

There isn’t a single decent American employed by the FBI. At a minimum every FBI employee is complicit in his silence. After the FBI is shuttered, all FBI employees, current and former, need to be banned from working in government at every level and in any position. All of their pensions should be revoked.

To those who worship the FBI. To the jackboot lickers, the FBI always does the right thing.
To Freedom Lovers very seldom does the FBI do the right thing.

Did any SS or FBI agent have the . . . uh . . . guts, to go knock on the door at a reasonable hour and talk with him?

This sounds more like a Waco style show-piece.

“After the FBI is shuttered, all FBI employees, current and former, need to be banned from working in government at every level and in any position. All of their pensions should be revoked.”

You realize that.... none of the things that “need to be done” are ever going to happen, right? Even if a miracle happened and Trump was allowed to win next year by the election-stealing Deep State leftists... cleaning out the FBI by defunding and firing will never happen. Nice dream, though.

Yeah, I know Trump has “”vowed”” to do certain things. Campaign promises geared to incite passion among his flock of supporters. I doubt that even Trump thinks it’s possible to do what he’s promising to do.
