My thought also. He was handicapped and 300 lbs. Their ‘shock and awe’ technique might not have allowed him the time to get to the door at 6:00 a.m.
It was a message via an assassination. The body was left outside in full view with a white sheet on it to show “this is what we’ll do to MAGA if you say too much”.
It wasn't the sticks, it was a suburban cul-de-sac of small houses on 1/4 acre (or possibly even smaller) lots.
