Trump was not a politician and most of his appointments were referrals from “trusted” politicians. Who recommended Barr to Trump??? Could it have been Christie?? Christie is known to have made several such referrals.

“Barr is the definition of deep state. Why Trump nominated him is a mystery.” I agree 100%. Many times Trump was too trusting as far as getting people to help him. I would like to see him very critically vet each candidate....no more Bill Barr or Sessions, Pence.
