Women’s basketball should now stop using a basketball that’s about 2/3rds the size of a men’s ball. Unless they want to shoot at a smaller rim, of course.

Wow, I didn't realize they were different size. Men's college and high school uses the same size basketball. I'm pretty sure that was the same size we used in middle school.

At the college level, the difference is only 1 or 2 inches as I recall..maybe the difference is more pronounced at younger levels?

The Duke women were using a men’s ball — they didn’t notice the difference until near the end of the game. Duke’s coach protested while not admitting the ball was the same size for both teams.

womens ncaa basketballa are only slightly smaller than the men's in diameter...very slight....

perhaps the men should however move their size up to the international bb diameter....
