I prefer living in a quiet neighborhood, and I particularly dislike listening to landscaping equipment during the day. Depending on how the rules are written, the property owner may get around the traditional lawn by planting flowers or fruiting plants. That way no one need worry about how high the grass is.

I lived 2 doors away from a homeowner who went native.
You could not see their home from the street with all the trees and tall grass except for a glimpse from the curved driveway.
