He would have surpassed that record if he hadn’t been banned for smartly rejecting the clot shots.
Anywys so many players he goes up against have been weakened and damaged by the shots, he will be dominating even more than before.
Really a great match as was the Medvedev-Alcarez match a couple of days ago. Medvedev is a fierce competitor. But Djokovic is in a class by himself.
I think if Djokovic had won Wimbledon last July, however, the calendar Grand Slam would have been at stake and I think, as has happened in the past, the pressure might have been too much for Djokovic and in such the fierce and close battle today, the edge may have been Medvedev’s.
