My parents both had hypertension and I started developing it in my mid 40s, even though my BMI was 21 at the time. I rarely salt my food, try to stay away from chips, etc., and I’m on BP meds. I’ll be 70 in 2 weeks and my BMI is now closer to 26. I’m resigned to the fact that I’ll pry leave this earth due to heart attack or stroke, which will be quick and relatively pain-free compared to cancer. No sense worrying about it IMO.
May I ask what you’re running at? I’m finally down to 120s in the morning but 159 at night. So annoying. I’m 59.
